ConDev is working with Washington State University (WSU) and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation (HGBF) to provide scholarships for graduates from a resident girls’ science-oriented secondary school in Rwanda, enabling them to pursue post-secondary agricultural education in the United States. The initial group will be comprised of four students from Gashora Girls Academy, with the number of students increasing annually to 20 per year.

Texas A&M University is well invested in Rwanda through both current and past programs. Both WSU and Texas A&M look forward to hosting these graduates in an effort to favorably impact the role of African women in agriculture.
