Minister John Banza

The honorable Mr. John Lunda Banza has had an illustrious career acting as the adviser to a number of Ministries within the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo including: the Ministry of Justice; the Ministry of Gender and Family; the Ministry of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Solidarity; and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery, and Livestock. These experiences prepared him for his present position as Minister of Planning, Environment, and Cooperation in Tanganyika Province in southeastern DRC.

His educational accomplishments include obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kinshasa as well as his current pursuit of a PhD focused on nuclear proliferation and the geopolitics of the Great Lakes Region in eastern DRC. Before entering the realm of government, Mr. Banza had a long and prestigious career in the private sector as a Managing Director in both the gold and diamond exchange industries.
