Dr. Benjamin Tkach is a Post-Doctoral fellow at the Center on Conflict & Development at Texas A&M University. He completed his PhD in Political Science at Texas A&M University. His research agenda focuses on non-state actors’ involvement in conflict. His current projects focus on the role of the private sector in development and the impact of foreign aid on conflict prevention. His work has appeared in Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy. He has been a research fellow with the U.S. National Defense University and collaborated on projects with the Department of Energy and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Tkach worked in defense consulting for Jane’s Information Group.
