Yu is a research assistant in the office of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation Chair on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. Prior to beginning his Ph.D. program, Mr. Zhang received his Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. Mr. Zhang’s current research project at ConDev is to analyze country-level macro data to discover the causalities among conflict, development, and foreign assistance. His experience includes a research project to study the efficiency of sectoral foreign assistance on conflict mitigation.
