Ms. Chen is a third year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Texas A&M University. Junyi works as a research assistant to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation Chair on Conflict and Development. Her research focuses on the fields of conflicts, climate change, and econometrics, such as applying econometrics tools to explore the relationship between conflict and climate change. Currently, Junyi is working on research on Sudan and South Sudan  with Dr. Shahriar Kibriya and Dr. David Bessler, Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, to investigate the causality between conflict and commodity prices using a time series approach.
