Nicaise Sheila Sagbo works with one of our partner organizations, the World Coffee Research (WCR), to research coffee production, performance, and profitability. Through the partner’s Global Coffee Monitoring Program, she organizes and manages data collected from over five hundred coffee on-farm technology trials (OFTT) worldwide. Overall, Sheila is in charge of the economic aspect of WCR’s OFTTs.

Sheila has more than ten years of experience in research design, data collection, data management, and econometric analysis. She has worked on behalf of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to assess the impact of agricultural policies in Haiti. She also worked for the Netherland Development Organization (SNV) in Benin on farmers’ entrepreneurship. Sheila has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and degrees in Agronomy and Agricultural Development. She is fluent in French and can speak some Haitian Creole.
