Yu Kai Huang is a research assistant and a Ph.D. Student working for Dr. Edwin Price in the Center on Conflict and Development. His research interests are climate change, conflict, and development nexus, environmental economics, and behavioral economics.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT & Ph.D. STUDENT

Kai is a Ph.D. candidate in Resource and Environmental Economics working as a research assistant for Dr. Edwin Price in the Center on Conflict and Development. He recently completed an internship at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where he quantified the economic impact of degrading ocean health and climate change in Southeast Asia and helped ADB prepare a climate finance project to address ocean health degradation.

His research interests are climate change, conflict, and development nexus, environmental economics, and behavioral economics. He is working on a project with Dr. Edwin Price evaluating how climate change and marine pollution affect fisheries and conflicts in Southeast Asia.
