2015 Student Media Grant Program

In December 2015, Student Media Grantee Amit Ghoshal traveled to the Sundarban forests of Bangladesh and Eastern India to chronicle conflicts between humans and wildlife in the area, along with the effects of human incursion on this fragile environment.

Student Media Grant winner Amit Ghoshal is a PhD candidate in the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University.

The Student Media Grant is funded by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation and administered by the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University. It awards $5,000 to students interested in using innovative methods to chronicle issues in fragile and conflict-affected nations.
